Lockdown Decor for Celebrating during the COVID Pandemic
We cleaned and disinfected all of our decor and created a business model to do the same inbetween hires of all our equipment. We would then deliver the decor in bags to prevent any cross contamination from our van or clothing and deliver whilst wearing masks and gloves to protect our clients and ourselves. We printed out instruction sheets and care sheets with simple, clear and concise instructions on how to care for and plug in our lights; overnight and rainy day storage, and clear instructions on how we would collect, etc. We also stated that although we did not expect to be left alone to set up the lights in your home - we could either deliver to your doorstep and you could set up the decor yourselves or we would require clear access to the place where the decor was to be set up whilst maintaining correct social distancing guidelines. I am pleased to say that all of our clients during lockdown have appreciated the measures that we've taken and will continue to take as long as need be.
These are just some of the lights and decor that we've provided to people's homes during the pandemic lockdown.
Many people have found that they wanted to celebrate even the 'inbetween' birthdays during lockdown and have been really excited with the thought of having parties and celebrations at home. Just because venues have been closed or there are limits on the amount of people that can gather together - it doesn't mean that you can't enjoy your special day - whatever that may be! We have been offering 2 days hire for the same price as 1 so that you can celebrate with friends and family whilst still adhering to the bubble guidelines set out by the government.
We had already begun a process of revamping all of our decor - repainting and categorising, making lists, organising and collating everything so that when restrictions were lifted - we were ready to go with new ideas, fresh and inspired decor and newly painted and revamped favourites. Watch our for our new sequin wall!
Once the government had given permission for certain businesses to start up again - we contacted our insurance company and gave them a COVID model that we had created so that they could assess the details and decide whether it was safe enough for us to proceed with. Fortunately, they not only found the model very workable but asked if they could recommend it to other businesses so that they could find a way to deliver their decor safely.
We've currently delivered our decor, helping people celebrate their lockdown birthdays from Ashton-under-Lyne to Liverpool with Heywood, Ramsbottom, Macclesfield, Oldham, Burnley, Blackburn, Whitefield, Unsworth, Bury, Cheadle, Rossendale, Stockport, Manchester, Rochdale, Bolton and everywhere inbetween.
Back in July 2020, we took our coloured light up letters to the TUI crewroom at Manchester Airport to welcome the crew and groundstaff back to work!
We also had our XMAS lights booked at Velvet Hotel in Manchester to decorate their brasserie for the planned Christmas brunches. Unfortunately a third lockdown scuppered those plans but we're already looking forward to the 2021 festive season!
We continued into 2021 in collaboration with Asha's in Manchester to give their Valentine's Day Menu the wow factor and we still deliver all our decor with COVID safe sanitising and delivery to people's homes and favourite venues.
